Ok, you've decided to make the move and buy a new home.  You've picked an agent to represent you and you've found the home of your dreams.  But what's next?  Here's some places that can help you on your road to home ownership. *

lenders...

Choosing a Lender to represent you is almost as important as choosing your Realtor.  Your Lender or Broker should 'shop' various loans for you, help educate you on different programs, and will monitor interest rates for you.  These simple things can save you hundreds of dollars a year on your mortgage payments, maybe even more!
As you start your search, you will want to talk to a Lender so you can gain an idea of what price range you would feel comfortable with.  A Lender will talk with you and look at some purchasing factors, such as income, monthly expenses and credit scores.  An educated Lender can also work with you to help you improve your purchasing power.  Since the Lender will help you secure the funds needed to close, you want to make sure you are working with a Lender that is working for your best interest, not theirs.

The Lender you choose to represent you does make a difference.  Below is a listing of a few Lenders that we have used in the past.  Do what is in your best interest, call Lenders and choose the one that will work for you.

home inspectors...

No matter what the property, everyone should have the home they are purchasing inspected.  Even if the home is being sold "AS IS", you owe it to yourself to have your investment inspected by a trained and licensed professional.  A Home Inspector can help discover many undetected problems that might not been seen by the naked eye.  A comprehensive home inspection can help save you from many headaches you might have with your new home purchase.

Georgia Association of Home Inspectors (GAHI) and American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)- Georgia are statewide professional organizations dedicated to improving the service and reputation of the home inspection industry. Organizations such as these focus on training and education for their members and establish testing and required performed inspections for membership.  Home buyers and sellers, realtors and homebuilders benefit from the training home inspectors receive.
